IP Billing (Inpatient Billing) is the accounting process used by hospitals and clinics to track, itemize, and invoice all healthcare services rendered during an admitted patient’s stay. Linked directly to the patient’s IP Number, an IP bill compiles room and bed tariff, nursing charges, consulting doctor visit fees, operation theatre (OT) charges, diagnostic investigations, and pharmacy consumables into detailed interim and final discharge bills.
