Doctors frequently need to issue medical leave recommendations, illness certificates, and fitness clearance for employers, schools, and regulatory bodies. Clinic OS provides a standardized, tamper-proof Digital Medical Certificate Generator complete with public QR code authenticity verification.

1. Supported Certificate Types
Clinic OS supports four standardized clinical certificate templates:
- Medical Sick Leave Certificate: Documents an acute illness or injury, clinical diagnosis, and specifies a recommended rest period (start date to end date).
- Medical Fitness Certificate: Confirms that a patient has recovered from illness or undergone an examination and is medically fit to resume duties, join an educational institution, or participate in physical activities.
- Fitness After Medical Leave: Certifies that a patient who was previously under medical care has fully convalesced and is cleared to return to work.
- General Medical Certificate / Clinical Letter: Flexible template for travel clearance, visa health summaries, or custom clinical attestations.
2. How to Issue a Medical Certificate
Doctors can generate a certificate either during an active consultation or directly from a patient's chart:
- Open the patient chart and navigate to the Certificates tab (or click + Issue Certificate during a consultation).
- Choose the Certificate Template (e.g., Sick Leave, Fitness Certificate).
- Complete the clinical fields:

- Doctor Credentials: The system automatically inserts your official doctor name, medical council registration number, and your uploaded digital signature.
- Click Generate & Issue Certificate.
3. Printing & Digital Delivery
- Official PDF Print: Click Print Certificate to output on clean A4 or pre-printed clinic letterhead.
- WhatsApp / SMS Delivery: If digital communication is enabled, an instant copy of the certificate PDF is sent directly to the patient's phone for forwarding to their employer or school.
4. Tamper-Proof QR Code Verification
Paper medical certificates are frequently forged or altered by employees. To safeguard clinician credibility and provide instant verification for employers, HR departments, and educational institutions:
How Verification Works:
- Every certificate generated in ZidBit includes a Unique Cryptographic Verification QR Code and certificate serial number printed in the footer.
- An employer or verifier simply points their smartphone camera at the printed QR code.
- The official ZidBit verification portal launches at:

- The verification screen instantly confirms:

5. Revoking or Voiding a Certificate
If a certificate was issued with an incorrect date or cancelled:
- Navigate to the patient's Certificates tab.
- Locate the certificate and click Revoke Certificate.
- Enter a clinical reason for revocation.
- If the QR code is scanned in the future, the verification page will prominently display a red banner: "This certificate has been revoked by the issuing clinic."
