💬 Team Chat

Team Chat lets everyone in your clinic message each other in real time, right inside Clinic OS — so coordination stays in the system instead of in personal WhatsApp groups.

Accessible by: Everyone (all roles)

Team Chat vs. the Communication Center: Team Chat is for talking to your own colleagues. The Communication Center is for contacting the ZidBit team (feedback, bugs, sales). They are separate.

Opening Team Chat

You can open Team Chat in two ways:

1. Sidebar or Shortcut: In the sidebar, click Team Chat (or press <kbd>T</kbd> on your keyboard).
2. Floating Button: Click the floating chat icon in the bottom corner of the screen — it's accessible across every page of the application.

Conversations

The chat panel shows your list of conversations. You can:

• Message a single colleague one-on-one (for example, a doctor flagging a waiting patient to the front desk).
• Message the team when an update is relevant to everyone.

Select a conversation from the list to open it, or start a new one.

Sending a Message

1. Open a conversation.
2. Type your message in the input box at the bottom.
3. Press Enter (or click send).

Messages are delivered in real time — the other person sees them immediately if they're online, and the moment they open the app if they're not.

Read Receipts

Each message shows whether it has been seen, so you can tell an update actually landed instead of wondering whether it was missed.

Tips

• Use Team Chat for quick, in-the-moment coordination — "patient in room 2 is ready", "Mr. Shah's payment is pending".
• Keep clinical decisions and patient records in the patient's chart, not in chat — chat is for coordination, not the medical record.
• Because it's built in, you don't need everyone's personal phone numbers or a separate messaging app.
