🧑⚕️ Patient Management
The Patients section is your clinic's central patient directory. You can register new patients, look up existing ones, and access a patient's complete medical history, vitals, documents, and timeline.
Accessible by: Admin, Receptionist, Doctor
Adding a New Patient
- In the sidebar, click Patients.
- Click the + New Patient button (top-right of the page).
- Fill in the patient registration form:

- Click Save Patient.
Finding a Patient
At the top of the Patients page, use the Search bar to search by:
- Patient name (first or last)
- Phone number
Results appear as you type. Click anywhere on a patient row to open their profile.
Patient Profile Tabs
Each patient profile is organised into tabs:

Medical History
The Medical History tab stores long-term health information for the patient.
Fields you can record:

To update medical history:
- Open the patient's profile → Medical History tab.
- Click Edit.
- Make changes and click Save.
⚠️ Allergies entered here are used for real-time conflict detection when a doctor adds medicines during a consultation.
Vitals
The Vitals tab shows all recorded vital signs for the patient, newest first.
Vitals can be recorded from the patient profile or during an active consultation. Fields include:

Out-of-range readings are automatically flagged and displayed with an amber indicator.
Documents (Professional plan only)
The Documents tab is where lab reports, X-rays, prescription images, and other clinical files are stored for this patient.
Each patient has a 50 MB storage limit. See Document Management for full instructions.
Patient Timeline
The Timeline tab gives a chronological view of every event in the patient's history:
- 🏥 Visits
- 🩺 Consultations
- 🫀 Vitals recorded
- 🧾 Invoices
- 📂 Documents uploaded
This is the fastest way to review a patient's full journey at a glance.
Editing Patient Details
- Open the patient's profile.
- Click the Edit button (top-right).
- Update the fields and click Save Changes.
Tips
- Always search before registering — a patient may already exist from a previous visit.
- Phone number is the fastest search key during a busy session.
- Use the Timeline tab for a complete picture before starting a consultation.
