This guide walks you through logging in to ZidBit Clinic OS for the first time, setting up your practice profile, and understanding how your account connects to your clinic.

How Login Works

Clinic OS uses a secure, passwordless authentication system — you never have to remember or reset complex passwords. Every time you log in, the system generates a single-use 6-digit code delivered securely to your registered email address.

Before you begin:

• If you are a clinic owner or solo doctor, you can register directly using your professional work email.
• If you are a team member (Doctor, Receptionist, or Billing), your clinic Admin must first invite your email from Settings → Team. You will receive an invitation email containing your sign-in link.

Step 1 — Enter Your Email Address

1. Navigate to the Clinic OS login page in your browser.
2. Enter your registered work email address.
3. Click Send Verification Code.

Example: dr.sharma@citycareclinic.com

⚠️ Always use the exact email address registered by your clinic Admin. Personal email addresses will not link to your clinic's workspace.

Step 2 — Enter Your 6-Digit OTP Code

1. Open your email inbox and look for the verification email from ZidBit Clinic OS.
   • Email subject: "Your Clinic OS verification code"
   • Check your Spam or Updates folder if the email does not appear within 60 seconds.
2. Copy the 6-digit verification code.
3. Return to Clinic OS, paste or type the code, and click Verify & Continue.

Codes are valid for 10 minutes. If your code expires, click Resend Code to generate a new one.

Step 3 — Onboarding & Workspace Setup

For Clinic Owners & First-Time Clinicians:

If you are setting up a new clinic, you will be guided through a quick 3-step setup wizard:

1. Clinician Profile: Enter your full name, professional title (Dr., Prof.), medical registration number, and medical council jurisdiction.
2. Facility Details: Name your clinic, enter the physical address, phone number, and select your primary timezone.
3. Primary Specialty: Choose your clinic's medical specialty (e.g., General Practice, Dental, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, OB/GYN, Cardiology).
   • Note: Selecting your specialty automatically customizes your consultation templates, diagnostic tools, and clinical workflows.

For Invited Team Members:

If you were added by an administrator, your role permissions (Doctor, Receptionist, or Billing) and clinic facility are configured automatically. You will land directly on your daily Dashboard.

Switching Between Workspace and Clinic CMS

If you are a practicing doctor associated with one or more clinics, ZidBit provides a unified top-bar Facility Switcher:

• Personal Workspace (/workspace): Manage your personal digital prescription pad, your public doctor booking link (/dr/your-name), specialty tool configurations, and subscription.
• Clinic Management (/dashboard): Select your clinic facility from the dropdown to access daily front-desk queues, patient consultations, appointments, and billing.

Staying Signed In & Session Security

• Session Duration: Active sessions remain valid for 24 hours. After 24 hours of inactivity, you will be prompted to re-authenticate with a fresh email code.
• Signing Out: To sign out securely on a shared clinic computer, click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of the header and select Sign Out.
